Buy your first Bitcoin

Buying your first bitcoin, ethereum or other cryptocurrencies is actually a lot easier than most people think.

The process is very simple:

• deposit FIAT Currency (dollars, rands, pounds, yen etc) onto an exchange
• purchase the desired cryptocurrency
• trade or HODL your new crypto coins

Sounds easy right?

Well it is – once you know where to deposit your FIAT, and where to purchase the relevant cryptos you want.

Oh, and you must also be aware of the different fees that may apply at the various stages of the transaction.

STEP 1 – Deposit FIAT Currency onto an exchange

Depending on where you are in the world, you will need to find a FIAT/Crypto exchange that will allow you to deposit your local currency into an exchange account. (see our Exchanges page for a selection of FIAT/Crypto exchanges)
